Join us for the first session of the newly launched data visualization workshop series offered by the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies. Successful completion of this workshop will earn participants the first of three microcredentials that can be stacked to earn prior learning credit towards a Certificate in Policy Analytics. 

No prior coding experience is necessary! Dr. Andrew Heiss will offer a full day of instruction on how to: 

• use R and the tidyverse to load, manipulate, and plot data  

• become familiar with the grammar of graphics—a new way to talk about data-based graphs 

• discover core graphic design principles that you can apply to any designed document
