About this Event
As a follow-up to the Transforming Academia for Equity (TAE) virtual townhall for students, faculty, and staff on November 3, the TAE guiding team would like to invite you to participate in a virtual student focus group on November 30, 2022, from 3 - 4:30 p.m. ET. The purpose of the focus group is to engage further undergraduate and graduate students in the strategic direction of justice, equity, diversity and inclusion (JEDI) values and practices at GSU SPH. The focus group will be facilitated by Georgia State SPH students Khadijah Ameen and Tai Nguyen and serve as a safe space for student experiences around JEDI-related topics at Georgia State SPH to be uplifted and centered.
Please share with any other Georgia State SPH students in your network that may be interested in participating in the focus group session.
The Transforming Academia for Equity (TAE) is a national initiative funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. This initiative is designed to unpack, understand, and shape the contextual and intervening conditions necessary for underrepresented scholars to thrive professionally and personally—and, in turn, be better able to contribute to and expand health equity-related research and evidence that can help build a Culture of Health.
