Symphonic Wind Ensemble presents “Pictures at an Exhibition”

Join the Georgia State University Symphonic Wind Ensemble, conducted by Dr. Robert Ambrose, for an unforgettable evening of wind band music featuring advanced student musicians from the School of Music. This dynamic program will include Johan Halvorsen’s "Entry March of the Boyars," Edvard Grieg’s "Funeral March in Memory of Rikard Nordraak" and the iconic "Pictures at an Exhibition" by Modest Mussorgsky arranged for wind ensemble.

A special highlight of the evening is the performance of Grieg’s "Funeral March" conducted by guest conductor Sami Ruusuvuori, whose expertise will bring a unique perspective to this deeply moving piece. The concert concludes with Mussorgsky’s vivid and dramatic "Pictures at an Exhibition," promising a captivating musical journey.
