Yin-Chan "Janet" Liao
Assistant Professor, Learning Technologies
Snap Inc. Center for Computer & Teacher Education
College of Education and Human Development

Dr. Liao is a scholar and educator dedicated to advancing equitable and accessible K-12 computing education. She empowers K-12 teachers and teacher educators with digital and computational literacies through teacher prepartation and professional development. Through research-practice partnerships and case studies, Dr. Liao explores approaches and strategies to integrate and enhance computational thinking skills and address equity issues in computing education. Her current projects investigate the development of computer science teacher preparation pathways and the integration of computing and AI concepts into teacher education curricula through collaborative design processes with educators and leaders.
 

Nasim Mousavi
Assistant Professor, Computer Information Systems
J. Mack Robinson College of Business

Nasim Mousavi is an assistant professor of computer information systems at the Robinson College of Business. Her research focuses on the socioeconomic aspects of technology and how to design technologies that maximize social welfare and economic outcomes. Her recent studies specifically explore how students interact with technology to identify optimal designs that enhance student achievement.
 

Patrick Parsons
Associate Director, Legal Technology & Innovation
Executive Director, Legal Analytics & Innovation Initiative
College of Law

In his role, Patrick oversees LAII programs and projects, including curriculum development, educational programming, and school-wide date and analytics support. He also manages and teaches in the College of Law Legal Analytics and Innovation certificate program, which includes two unique curricular pathways focusing on legal analytics or legal technology and innovation. Under Patrick's leadership, LAII and the Georgia State College of Law have been recognized on numerous occasions as one of the most innovative programs in the country for legal tech and innovation.


Patrick Beatty, '99
Fractional Executive and Investor

Patrick is an investor in deep tech and a former tech leader and academic. In his many years in venture at Prosus, one of the largest VC groups in the world, investing across multiple industries and almost every continent, he invested, mentored, and was a board member for edtech companies. In addition, he is the chairman of the board for a local STEM education non-profit and works with community colleges on deep tech internships and workforce development across California.
