https://crim.education.gsu.edu/sources-create-crp-conference/The Alonzo A. Crim Center for Urban Educational Excellence and the CREATE Project will co-host the Sources of Urban Educational Excellence and CREATE Project Culturally Relevant Pedagogy Conference on Nov. 8-9, 2024, in Georgia State University's College of Law (85 Park Place NE, Atlanta).
This collaborative conference will honor those educational trailblazers who provided a pathway of resilience and resistance and are using their works as a catalyst for the work the Crim Center and the CREATE Project continue to do. It will also showcase, uplift and center the voices, experiences and knowledge of historically marginalized communities, and work to collectively imagine and enact ways of doing and being that dissolve barriers and pave the way for liberation.
Daniel Black, an award-winning novelist, professor, activist, mentor and public speaker, will be the keynote speaker. To learn more about him, click here.
