In this workshop, Hongmei Zhang (Senior Lecturer from the Department of Biology) will share her Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) research and discuss how the research can be utilized to inform the attendees’ pedagogical practices or research.

Dr. Zhang will discuss her research on a model she developed called Tab-meta key. This model is used for exam reviews and promotes students’ academic performances and career-readiness competencies. The model incorporates active learning pedagogy and metacognition.

The session will include the SoTL research process, from developing a research question to disseminating the research findings.

Additionally, attendees will discover how to connect with CETLOE support to advance their SoTL research goals.
