The Sexual Assault Prevention courses are tailored to their respective audiences and provide information about critical topics affecting college students everywhere — relationship violence, sexual assault, stalking and sexual harassment. It’s designed to help students be a positive influence in addressing the topics in both personal and academic life. Even if a student is not directly impacted by relationship violence, sexual assault, stalking or sexual harassment, chances are most people know someone who is.
This course provides students an opportunity to:

Understand common reactions to trauma
Recognize warning signs of unhealthy relationships and abuse
Identify gender-based/harmful language and learn how to step in to help
Recognize when gender-based stereotypes negatively affect perceptions of others
Identify consent as a normal, natural and expected part of healthy communication
Identify how to respond if experiencing or witnessing stalking or sexual harassment
Identify values influencing relationships and that affect an awareness of and experiences with sexual abuse and violence
