Python for Advanced Scientific Computing - Part 02

This workshop is the second session of a workshop series where we will introduce python as a language for the scientific computing. The intended audience is intermediate users of the Python language. Basic knowledge of Linear algebra will be helpful. The second workshop will cover the ingredients of scientific computing. we will show how to solve Ordinary differential equations, compute Fourier transform, perform simple integration, solve Linear algebra problems, and some optimization problems using SciPy package in python. The participant will complete all hands-on material using a web-based High-Performance Interactive learning environment, and no software installation needed on local computers. However, a laptop computer is required to access the web-based tools during the workshop.

Registration is only open for Georgia State students, faculty, and staff.
