Clinical Associate Professor, College of Education & Human Development Nationally Certified Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor

Dr. Jonathan Orr is a nationally certified counselor and a licensed professional counselor in Georgia. His teaching and research interests include: group work, social justice, supervision, mindfulness, multicultural counseling, theory development, and professional counselor identity. In this seminar, Dr. Orr will facilitate an interactive conversation with attendees guided by the following questions:

  • What is meant by trauma-informed/trauma-sensitive care?
  • How do we incorporate an understanding of trauma into our work with RIM communities?
  • How might trauma impact our research with and development of programs for RIM communities in unique and often complex ways?
