The Center for Studies on Africa and Its Diaspora's Global Read-a-Thon returns in 2025 with the theme “Roots: The Journey of Us.” In addition to celebrating books from around the world, the Center for Studies on Africa and Its Diaspora is hosting a poster day where undergraduate students from all disciplines will present their scholarly and creative work related to Africa, its diaspora, and this year’s theme.  

Are you interested in exploring “roots,” origin stories, histories or scholarship that seeks to do so? Do you have interest in topics related to Africa and its diaspora (migration, diaspora, racism, intersectionality, health disparities, etc.)? We invite you to apply and showcase your creative and scholarly work at CSAD’s first Poster Day.
