Ms. Rose Mincey

Rose M. Mincey is a true Georgia peach, born in Savannah, raised in The Bronx, NY. Ms. Mincey attended Southwest High School in Atlanta and graduated from Dillard University of New Orleans with a Bachelor of Arts in business. most of her career was spent in the hospitality industry, which spanned more than 25 years. Ms. Mincey has volunteered with numerous organizations over the years including the Martin Luther King, Jr. March Committee and Southern Christian Leadership Conference Women, Inc., where she directed “Bridging the Gap,” a mentoring program for young girls. Ms. Mincey also has worked with Cool Girls, Inc., Kids Alive and Loved and the Covington House. She is a current member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, DeKalb organization. Rose Mincey is the founder and creative director of Toucharose, LLC, which endeavors to touch lives positively through poetry, music and art. In 2022, she started Toucharose Care Bags for the homeless, in honor of her sister Delores “Lolo” Mincey. To assist with distribution, Ms. Mincey created Care Angels, friends who help. To date, they have handed out more than 700 bags. Ms. Mincey is currently facilitating a monthly poetry show and working on her first children’s poetry book.
