The Department of Counseling and Psychological Services will host its next Play Therapy Training Institute workshop on Friday, Feb. 20, from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. in a virtual format.

Mia Kim Chang, who supports children and families at a private practice in Georgia and is the instructor for the university's Introduction to Play Therapy course, will lead the workshop, which is entitled, "Bridging Cultures in Play Therapy: Empowering Asian American Children and Families through Play Therapy." This session will highlight the evolving Asian American population, suggest play therapy’s empowering potential with this population and aim to enhance play therapy clinicians’ and researchers’ multicultural orientation.

Workshop attendees will receive three Non-Contact Continuing Education Credits; this session also satisfies the Cultural and Social Diversity requirement for the Association for Play Therapy credential.

The workshop costs $75 for professionals, $50 for department alumni and $25 for students. For more information and to register, click here.
