Capstone Abstract: There is compounded stigma for transgender sex workers (TSW) around the world. This negatively impacts health outcomes when utilizing health services, which has little research beyond the scope of HIV/AIDS. This Capstone Project seeks to bring together information exploring how stigma and discrimination cause health inequities within the broader scope of healthcare services among TSW. It will also combine literature and individual interviews with TSW around community resources that have developed as a response to stigma and discrimination, as well as best practices for healthcare providers and community organizations who work with TSW. Gaps in literature will also be thoroughly discussed.
