Minding the Justice Gap - Chasing Justice: How to Be Part of the Solution (Class 1)

Minding the Justice Gap is a webinar series by the Center for Access to Justice and the Administrative Office of the Courts. This series provides a forum for Georgia-based stakeholders—and any others wanting to attend—to not only learn about targeted access-to-justice issues but also generate new ideas for solutions and implementation in the state.

In this first class - Chasing Justice: How to Be Part of the Solution - we will hear from panelists about some of the most significant obstacles to accessing justice in Georgia. Attendees will get an overview of navigators, faith community engagement, record restriction work, probate work, family law needs, rental assistance/eviction prevention, and the unauthorized practice of law.

Opening remarks will be delivered by Judge Catherine Salinas, Chair of the State Bar of Georgia's Access to Justice Committee.

Closing remarks will be provided by Justice Verda Colvin, Chair of the Judicial Council of Georgia's Access to Justice Committee.
