The GSU Center for Hellenic Studies will host a public lecture by Michael Cosmopoulos, The Hellenic Government–Karakas Foundation Professor in Greek Studies at the University of Missouri–St. Louis. In “Digging Homer,” Cosmopoulos explores the archaeological discoveries at Iklaina, a once-lost capital of the Mycenaean world, offering new insight into Homeric Greece and early state formation in ancient Greece.
