The Certified Peer Education program provides an opportunity for students to gain skills necessary to work effectively with peers and colleagues. The skills in this program are transferable to a variety of settings. Completion of all eight modules as well as the online assessment provides students the opportunity to earn a national certification in peer education.
This module, Manage Crises, Respond, and Refer, will:
Define the difference between a critical incident, crisis and disasterUtilize the crisis management cycleUtilize a plan of action checklistRecognize legal mandates governing and impacting peer educatorsDiscuss making referrals and utilizing resources
