The College of Education & Human Development's Office of Graduate Student Services will hold a Graduate Student Workshop on Thursday, June 20, at 2 p.m. in a virtual format. 

From exploring the literature to developing a specific research question, we’ll discuss tools and techniques to get you working efficiently and effectively in library databases and beyond. We’ll start with simple search techniques and build toward complex search strategies. 

A few topics we will cover include: 

  • Finding search terms
  • Creating search strings with Boolean logic
  • Using filters
  • Citation tracking
  • Describing your search process
  • Exporting large search results
  • Keeping up with searches 
  • Organizing results

Be sure to have some sample topics of your own on the search process.
