Leaders for a Cause brings together undergraduate and graduate students to work in teams for eight Fridays to plan and organize projects supporting a cause or addressing a concern aligning with their passion or interest. The Leadership & Service Office provides student teams with funding, coaching and administrative support. Lunch/snacks are provided.
How do you want to make a positive difference? What cause or issue do you want to bring attention to? Would you like to join a completely virtual team? (limited option). LFC is a unique and exciting opportunity to make a difference on campus, apply practical leadership skills to build a project from concept to completion, make connections with other difference makers, enhance your resume, and earn the LFC Certificate and credit toward the Student Leadership Certificate's silver, gold, diamond or platinum level.
Students will apply and further develop their leadership skills in the following areas: problem-solving, team building, delegating, budgeting, event planning, conflict resolution, time management, interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication.
