https://pin.gsu.edu/event/9128176The Office of Leadership & Service presents, LEAD on Wheels: A Creative Spin on Civil Rights and Social Justice. Enjoy the outdoors with an adventurous Atlanta bike tour, connect with fellow GSU students, learn about the journey of civil rights and social justice in Atlanta, engage in helpful discussions and develop skills for leading change. Your bike, helmet, water, breakfast snacks and lunch are provided. The tour starts and ends at the Greenway near Student Center West (across from the entrance to Chick-fil-A). Several rest stops and a bathroom break are included.
RSVP is required. Bicycles are reserved for the first 18 students. If seats are filled, please join the wait-list as seats tend to become available closer to the date. However, all students may participate in lunch and the leading change training that follows the bike tour. Also, participating students will be invited to join the Leaders for a Cause program which empowers students to lead a change project they are passionate about.
The Lead on Wheels adventure includes:
An adventurous bike tour
Snacks and lunch provided
Bike, helmet and water provided
Connecting with fellow GSU students
Becoming a leader of change training
Invitation to join the Leaders for a Cause fall project
Certificate of Achievement for completing the tour and training
Earn credits toward the Student Leadership Certificate Silver, Gold, Platinum or Diamond designations. Complete all levels and receive your leadership cord for graduation.
