Joshua Redman is a leading figure in contemporary jazz, known for his expressive playing and thoughtful approach to improvisation. The son of saxophonist Dewey Redman, he developed a deep connection to music from an early age. After graduating from Harvard University, he quickly emerged on the international jazz scene, winning the Thelonious Monk International Saxophone Competition. Over a distinguished career, Redman has released numerous acclaimed recordings and collaborated with artists across genres. His work spans performance, composition, and education, including roles as a curator and educator. With a sound that balances tradition and innovation, Redman continues to shape the modern jazz landscape.
