Java is a general-purpose, object-oriented programming language that is widely used by programmers in fields ranging from creating applications to android application development to Big Data technologies. Because of its platform-independent nature, it is a popular and in-demand language to learn.

Part 3 will build on the knowledge from Parts 1 and 2 and touch base on Java’s object-oriented capabilities. We will work on more extensive projects that will allow you to prove your newfound knowledge in Java! This workshop is not recommended for those who have missed Parts 1 and 2.

Workshop Topics

  • Basic understanding and using classes and class methods.
  • Touch inheritance and polymorphism if time permits.

Prerequisites: It is strongly recommended that you attend/understand the concepts covered in Java 1 &2 before attending Java 3.

Workshop Set-up Notes: As this is an online workshop, we recommend that if you are planning on working along with the trainer you set up on your computer beforehand to code in Java. You can find more information on setting up your machine for coding in Java on this page.
