Come learn more about the Literary Venice Study Abroad program! This information session will be hybrid, with food provided to the in-person attendees. The in-person event will be held in Dahlberg Hall 350a; see Zoom link below if you plan to attend virtually!

Students from GSU will visit a variety of cultural and historical sites in Venice and other nearby cities in the Veneto region to learn about the rich history and literary culture of the areas by studying American and Italian authors and artists. They'll explore the writers' literature and cultural influences and map their creative networks and literary itineraries in Venice and surrounding lagoon. Students will be introduced to works that represent Venice as a city of cultural flows and confluences, with writings from Hemingway, Wharton, and Pound, among others. Through this program, students will gain a broader perspective on the modernist period and of the Venice's rich artistic history.
