In honor of World Day for Social Work, the Multicultural Center invites you to attend In Her Shoes, an interactive group activity designed to give women and men the opportunity to step into the lived experience of a victim/survivor of intimate partner violence and walk “in her shoes.” Participants move, act, think and make choices as a person experiencing an abusive relationship. The interactive simulation aims to increase participants’ understanding of the complex dynamics of intimate partner violence and will highlight the challenges commonly faced when navigating situations and systems.
