Meet Dr. Jan Baker!

Canadian-American saxophonist Jan Berry Baker performs worldwide and has recently soloed with the Sinfonica de Oaxaca. As Co-Artistic Director of Bent Frequency, she champions contemporary and diverse music. A UCLA professor, she is also a founding member of the Committee on Gender Equity in the North American Saxophone Alliance and a Selmer Paris, Vandoren, and Key Leaves artist.

Join us on September 19th at 7 p.m. in the Kopleff Recital Hall for Bent Frequency's season-opening concert, "TE;XT," where Dr. Baker will be performing. Additionally, she will be giving a special masterclass on September 20th at 2:30 p.m. in the Standard Building, room 400, with our saxophone studio.
