Join CETLOE for our 2024 AI Symposium on Technology, Teaching, and the Future of Learning, featuring keynote speaker Dr. Christopher Basgier of Auburn University who will speak about the intersections of AI and teaching, learning, and writing in higher education. Dr. Basgier researches threshold concepts, writing in the disciplines, and general education curricula; most recently, he has been studying critical AI literacy and is working on the edited collection Bad Ideas about AI and Writing: Toward Generative Practices for Teaching, Learning, and Communication.
We will also welcome faculty AI researchers from across the university as they present on the significance of their research and what it means for teaching and learning at GSU. CETLEO’s AI symposium will be simulcast, so attendees can attend in person in CLSO 150 or virtually via Webex. Attendees can feel free to stay all day or just drop-in for individual sessions. This all-day symposium will kickoff a multidisciplinary conversation on AI and teaching and learning that will continue through the spring and summer with theory to practice webinars that will help faculty turn what they’ve learned into teaching tools. Boxed lunch will be provided during the keynote for those who register by Friday, March 22nd.
