Denise George from the Georgia State University Library will lead a graduate student workshop on Thursday, Aug. 31, at 11 a.m. in a virtual setting.

In this session, we’ll do the following:

• Retrieve library-subscribed content from the open web
• Discuss Google Scholar and other tools, such as the University Library Discover search
• Navigate specific library databases (such as ERIC and APA PsycINFO) and search with natural language, like you would in a Google search
• Discover ways to refine that search to better represent the literature on your topic
• Show you how to find the best keywords and do basic citation tracking
• Discuss the simplest ways to do an advanced three-concept search in a library database
