"The Power of First: Celebrating First-in-Family Scholars"

Join The Graduate School for a special celebration honoring graduate students, faculty and staff who are the first in their families to attend graduate school. This event will launch the First-in-Family (FIF) initiative, award four FIF scholarships and recognize the donor supporting these opportunities. Through storytelling and community recognition, we will celebrate the resilience, purpose and generational impact of our First-in-Family scholars.

Who is considered First in Family (FIF)? 
You may have heard of first-generation students. Similarly, you are considered first in family if you are pursuing or have completed a graduate degree and are the first in your immediate family (parents or guardians) to do so.  If you identify as first in family or are interested in supporting the FIF initiative, please join us for this special event.
