Join us for February's Creative Hour session titled "War & the Shape of Memory," hosted by Lisa Alembik, Assistant Professor of Art at Perimeter College. Lisa, an accomplished artist, educator, and curator, and is currently featured in the gallery show "I, We, and The Space Between" in the JCLRC 4th Floor Gallery. During this session, she will offer an artist talk exploring themes of memory, war, and intergenerational trauma. Lisa's work delves into corporeality and its relationship with cultural and political concepts of nature and home, with a particular focus on the suffering of those affected by forced diaspora and historical atrocities.
