Artist Statement:
Liz Alzona
I create biographical artwork that highlights great genius throughout the ages. Copernicus, Galileo, Newton, Einstein, Feynman, Curie, and Martin Luther King Jr. are just a few of the geniuses graphically represented by my artwork. Each work's contents are researched and curated to include the most notable works, awards, and accomplishments of a genius who radically changed the world. Traditionally, learning about these individuals requires extensive research, working with complex formulas or tenets of philosophies. My vision is to introduce these individuals in an artistically graphic way so that an observer is drawn in by my artwork, asks questions about the elements, learns something, and leaves curious to know more. In this way, I hope to inspire people to see their own faces of genius.
