First Half: Revealing Espionage: A Brief History since 1946

This talk will introduce the audience to a brief history of espionage since 1946. Mark J Flowers will discuss common perceptions and misperceptions, motivations, and which US adversaries are most frequently caught spying. Is the frequency of espionage constant over time?

 

Second Half: An Update on the Russian Invasion of Ukraine

This talk will update the prior two talks on the invasion of Ukraine. In this discussion, Patrick Elliott will re-introduce the war to the audience, discuss challenges facing Ukraine, the difficulties the US faces helping Ukraine, and the implications of some Russian tactics and their treatment of prisoners. If left unchecked would this war become a genocide?
