Developing Today's Leaders! Emerging Leaders is an interactive 8-week leadership mentorship program for first-year students paired with upper-level student mentors. Supported by leadership coaches in the Office of Leadership & Service, Emerging Leaders engage in activities, discussions, and a service project to grow their leadership and communication skills, develop strategies for college success, and foster friendships with their peers.
Mentors are sophomores, juniors, seniors, and graduate students who are knowledgeable about GSU resources, able to share meaningful tips for academics and college success, and willing to be a source of encouragement and support to mentees. Mentors benefit from the opportunity to apply and grow their leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, produce demonstrated leadership for their resume, and earn credit towards the Diamond level of the Student Leadership Certificate presented during the Royal Flame Awards. The cohort meets on Fridays at 1 pm in February and March.
Register by completing the appropriate application by Wednesday, January 24th.
