About this Event
The Social Dilemmas Working Group was formed in 2002, with Nobel Laureate Elinor Ostrom as one of the pioneers. The conferences feature theoretical, experimental, and applied research aimed at developing a better understanding of behavior in social dilemma situations and developing models of the interaction between social context and the political-economic institutions that support or fail to support resolution of social dilemmas under conditions of risk and uncertainty.
The keynote address will be given by Dr. Sarah Brosnan, Professor of Psychology, Philosophy and Neuroscience at Georgia State University.
Attendees will include core participants from previous workshops and new participants nominated to increase the gender, racial, and disciplinary diversity of the SD Working Group. In this way, the SD Working Group is set up with both the stability of the core group, allowing for continuity, as well as infusions of new perspectives and approaches.
Please note that we will be adhering to MIT COVID policy in effect at the time of the conference, which may require all attendees at on-campus events to be vaccinated for COVID-19.
