Crim Center for Urban Educational Excellence will begin its new Critical Conversations Series on Friday, Sept. 20, from 4:30-7 p.m. in CEHD room 150.
This series will highlight books that explore the theme, "Education as a Pathway to Freedom." Experts and authors will guide attendees to learn, rethink and redefine the importance of education historically, in the present and in the future.
At the Sept. 20 session, attendees will discuss the book, "Education as Freedom: African American Educational Thought and Activism," edited by Noel S. Anderson and Haroon Kharem.
