Mastering Online Teaching: Design for All
Topic 1: "Course Accessibility"

"Course Accessibility" is the first topic in the Mastering Online Teaching: Design for All series offered by Georgia State University’s Center for Excellence in Teaching, Learning, and Online Education (CETLOE). It takes a closer look at how instructors can prevent access barriers while designing for learner variability, including disability. It addresses:

  • Course accessibility requirements
  • Inclusive teaching practices
  • Implementing disability accommodations
  • Meeting digital content standards

This mini-course is self-paced and asynchronous online, with readings, a quiz, and an assignment that may be completed to earn a MOT micro-badge. It lasts one week. You will receive an email welcoming you on the first day of the session. It will contain the link for starting the module in iCollege. All GSU faculty, instructors, and teaching assistants are welcome to enroll.

Note: "Course Accessibility" must be completed first in the MOT: Design for All series because it introduces accessibility at the university.

Location: Online in iCollege
