As a teaching practice, authentic assessment asks, “What can professionals in your field do untrained people cannot?” Let’s extend this thinking to ask, “What can professionals in your field do that generative AI cannot?” In this workshop, we’ll demonstrate how you can test your assignments against Microsoft Copilot. By the end of this session, you will have a better understanding of generative AI’s capabilities, and you will have multiple strategies for assessing your students’ abilities.
