The Atlanta Summer Conducting Institute is a week-long series of seminars and masterclasses geared toward music educators, graduate student conductors, church musicians, community conductors and any conductors looking to grow as artists. The institute provides tracks of study in choral conducting or wind band conducting with daily podium time conducting professional musicians, as well as lectures in conducting gesture, score study, choral tone and rehearsal techniques for both choral, choral-orchestral and wind instrumental literature. Co-artistic directors Dr. Daniel Bara of the University of Georgia and Dr. Deanna Joseph of Georgia State University lead the 2023 Choral Track with Dr. Robert Ambrose of Georgia State University and guest Dr. John Lynch of the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point leading the 2023 Wind Band Track.
