Grammy-Winning Mexican Soulstress
Grammy Award-winner Aida Cuevas will present a mariachi spectacle paying tribute to her dearest friend and greatest mentor, the legendary, Juan Gabriel. The concert features Cuevas’ Mexico City-based mariachi band, Mariachi Juvenil Tecalitlán. The Kansas City Star says “Cuevas is to Mexico what Aretha Franklin is to the United States.”
Come early for the pre-show talk by Judith Martinez at 7 p.m. Martinez is a bilingual and bicultural media and communications expert with experience in leading teams focused on Multimedia Content Creation, Public Relations, Marketing, and Community Engagement projects for the Hispanic market in the US.
For the past 18 years, Judith has been part of leadership teams that launched a bilingual web/print publication, an Emmy award-winning Newscast (Telemundo Atlanta), a Social Venture to empower women and the fastest growing Spanish news media platform in the U.S. Mundo Hispanico.
Judith is the only Latina journalist in the state of Georgia who holds an Emmy and a Gabby for best anchor and news personality in the state.
A native of Mexico, Judith has lived half of her life in Georgia, got married here and lives in Lawrenceville with her husband and their son Diego and daughter Leila.
