About this Event
Students are seeing generative AI everywhere. It’s in their Google search, it’s part of their social media, and it’s in advertisements. They are allowed to use it in some courses and forbidden in others. In this session, we’ll discuss how generative AI can help teach students about disciplinary writing conventions. We’ll talk about how to use short, fun assignments in free tools, like ChatGPT, to help them work on recognizing the types of mediums, language, and styles that are appropriate across disciplines. This session is designed for the Writing Across the Curriculum faculty but is open to al faculty and graduate teaching assistants.
