College teaches you to pass tests; corporate teaches you to survive politics—and nobody warns you which one actually determines your career. This talk breaks down the unwritten rules every trusted tech professional eventually learns the hard way: why getting corrected early is the fastest tuition you'll pay, how to read office politics without losing your integrity, why your LinkedIn presence is a signal whether you manage it or not, and how reframing yourself as a problem-solver—not a task-completer—turns expertise into real leverage. Students leave with a practical playbook for building trust and becoming the person their team can’t afford to lose.
