  and policy\, as well as gain strategies and implementation tools to accele

 nter for Law\, Health & Society\, ChangeLab Solutions\, and our local partn
 ers for Accelerating Policy Change in Georgia — a convening for changemaker
 s who want to deepen their skill set for advancing local policy change. The
  convening is designed for people who work on the root causes of health iss
 ues:\n\nPublic health practitioners\n\nHealth care professionals\n\nGovernm
 ent staff\n\nLeaders from community-based organizations\n\nLaw and other gr
 aduate students (MD\, PhD\, DrPH\, MPH\, MPA\, etc.)\n\nOur guest panelists
  and speakers will cover a wide range of content on public health policies\
 , using relevant local issues as examples. Attendees are welcome to bring t
 heir own policy priorities to the event to workshop ideas and identify poli
 cy action steps they can take to center and advance the needs of the commun
 ities they service. Strategies will be focused on people-centered policymak
 ing\, to help ensure that community members whose health and lives are most
  affected by policies have a voice in the process. \n\nBy participating in 
 a day of small-group activities\, interactive sessions\, and inspiring pane
 l discussions\, you’ll gain more knowledge about\n\nReading and understandi
 ng the law\n\nFinding opportunities for community-centered policy change wi
 th your partners\n\nIdentifying who holds the legal authority needed to cre
 ate change\n\nAfter the convening\, you will receive a certificate of compl
 etion and a resource guide. You will take away next steps that you have dev
