https://crim.education.gsu.edu/2025-sourcesGeorgia State University’s Alonzo A. Crim Center for Urban Educational Excellence will host its 2025 Sources of Urban Educational Excellence Conference on Nov. 7-8, 2025, in Georgia State’s College of Law (85 Park Place NE, Atlanta).
Joycelyn Wilson, assistant professor in Georgia Tech’s Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts, will serve as the keynote speaker for the conference, which will focus on the theme, “Seeing Ourselves in the Algorithmic Future: Education, Workforce and Beyond.”
The Crim Center invites educators, researchers, technologists, artists and community leaders to explore the past, present and possible futures of our rapidly digitizing world. As technology reshapes our classrooms and communities, this event asks, “Who do we see – and not see – in the algorithmic future?” The theme encourages conference attendees to think deeply and creatively about how technology shapes education, not only in terms of tools and platforms, but in the values, assumptions and aspirations they carry.
The conference is free to attend, and breakfast and lunch will be provided on both days. To RSVP, visit https://bit.ly/Sources2025RSVP.
