MAYHEM? SEXUAL INTRIGUE… Not that GSU Opera Theater’s 2017-2018 season should be based on themes of sexual intrigue, loss of innocence, and downright dysfunctionality, A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC delves into the rampant relationships of the questionably elite society of 1900 Sweden that has already broken the mold but still has some “breaking” to do. Indeed, A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC is set in 1900, and has a milestone anniversary: its 45th. Based on Bergman’s movie SMILES OF A SUMMER NIGHT, there are too many twists and turns to tell its story here, but the Tony-Award-winning score and its witty circumstances are more than enough reason to celebrate this anniversary!
