Event Description The Department of Physics and Astronomy's William H. Nelson lecture will be given by Mather, who won the Nobel prize in physics and is a project scientist for the James Webb Telescope. Mather works at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center.
Mather will present the "History of the Universe from the Beginning to End."
He plans to tell the story of how we got here, how the universe began with a big bang, how it could have produced an Earth where sentient beings can live, and how those beings are discovering their history. |
