Steven Cook lecture: The United States, Egypt, and the 'New' Middle East

Event Description
Dr. Steven Cook, the Hasib J. Sabbagh Senior Fellow for Middle Eastern Studies at the Council on Foreign Relations, will present “The United States, Egypt, and the ‘New’ Middle East.” Cook is an expert on Arab and Turkish politics as well as U.S.-Middle East policy. His most recent book is The Struggle for Egypt: From Nasser to Tahrir Square (Oxford University Press, Fall 2011).

The talk will be hosted by Bill Long, Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences. The event is free and open to the public. Co-sponsored by the College of Arts and Sciences and the Middle East Institute.
